2017 | Travel Goals
Hello lovely internet friends! On today’s post I’m going to share with you some of my travel goals for 2017. On my last post I highlighted some of the places I visited in 2016 and what I wrote about on the blog. 2016 was the year a ventured outside of the country to places I’ve never been. 2017 will be the year that I find my way around the country I live in and find some unfamiliar places.
Here is the list of states and cities I want to visit in 2017. I’ve been to some of these places before but once is hardly ever enough.
This is number one on my list because I swear I always wanted to live there since I was little. It’s a mystery why I haven’t visited the golden state yet to be honest. I was so adamant about living there that during my high school years I applied to two universities in Cali and almost went to one of them. My goal for this year is to visit the golden coast and explore some of its cities with my friends. I would love to hit up L.A. and a whole lot of different beaches on the coast.
02| Washington D.C.
I’ve visited D.C. before but never as an adult. I want to go back to the nation’s capital and explore everything it has to offer. Eat good food and maybe plant some seeds for a future home.
03| New York
I want a glimpse of the concrete jungle where dreams are made of. My sister and I are planning on going together and it is my mission to hold us both accountable to accomplish this goal. I have already saved articles on places we have to eat and I’ll look around to see if this could also be my future home. I’ll taste the waters (public transportation system and cost of living) to see if I want to dive into supposedly the greatest city on earth.
I honestly don’t know why I haven’t visited this place yet. I know so many people who have moved there and I have family there too. I will not let this year pass without a proper visit. Get ready Texas there’s going to be a new tourist in town.
I actually visited the windy city this past year during my birthday weekend but I already want to go back and have some more adventures. When I return I want to take pretty photos, eat in some new restaurants, and stroll along lake Michigan with my friends.
06| Northern Minnesota
Last but not least is the beautiful state that I live in. Goals include hanging out in the lakes and visiting the north shore. I haven’t been to Duluth in the longest time ever and its honestly a shame considering how beautiful it is.
What are some of your travel goals for the new year?
