Bodø Norway my trip to the Arctic

Last week after departing from London I hoped on a plane and headed off to northern Norway. Bodø pronounced ‘buddha’ is the northern most city in Norway! Visiting this quiet place was a great retreat away from the busy, crowded, and polluted streets of London. I spent four days visiting an old friend and it was a great way to wrap up my European tour. We visited the dock where tons of Cargo ships go through each and everyday. We hiked up a mountain that overlooked the city and made it possible for us to glance at other mountains and Islands. Not to mentioned we met the coaches of the Bodø soccer team and before that we went up the very same steps the Queen and King of Norway had hiked up just a few weeks earlier. I had an amazing time catching up with my friend and eating at one of Bodø’s most highly recommended eateries for lunch and staying up to watch the midnight sunset before going to sleep.

Thanks Mary! Norway was a pleasant surprise for me I didn’t do any research before going so the nature was unexpected and completely took my breath away.

[…] Norway Bodø, I have one word to describe this place, magnificent. The last leg of my European trip included going to Norway to visit a friend in northern most city in the Country. We spent time catching up, exploring the town, and going on a hike. The views from the hiking trip were enough for me consider going back to Norway and explore more of its hidden gems. Seriously, I never knew how beautiful Norway is until I set foot in the fjørds. […]
